because WHERE DID SOKKA GET ALL THE ROSES? they are totally camping out on a big flat rocky expanse at the time. This means that at some point shortly before, SOKKA WAS SECRETLY OUT PICKING FLOWERS IN SOME NEARBY MEADOW OR WHATEVER, and then pilfering candles, but mostly FROLICKING WITH A BOUQUET IN SECRET.
